New AMSOIL Synthetic
Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG)
meets and exceeds the gear, bearing, synchromesh and
seal demands found in automobiles and light trucks.
AMSOIL Synthetic Manual
Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG) is designed
to meet the special requirements of certain manual
transmissions and transaxles, such as the New Venture
NV4500. It is designed to replace AMSOIL 80W-90 Synthetic
Gear Lube (AGT) and provide improved internal component
protection. These transmissions are cast iron and
have exhaust pipes close to them, causing them to
run hot. Increased operating temperatures can harden
seals and cause oil leaks. In addition to lubricating
gears, bearings and synchromesh systems, transmission
oil must keep seals soft even when temperatures increase.
The premium synthetic formulation of AMSOIL Synthetic
Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube is designed
to specifically address the needs of these hot running
transmissions.
MTG is formulated with
extreme pressure (EP) additives and advanced synchromesh
qualities that provide smooth shifts while protecting
gears, bearings and seals. It is not corrosive to
yellow metals, such as copper, that are used in some
synchromesh systems. MTG provides the maximum transmission
and transaxle internal component protection.
Applications
MTG is recommended
for synchronized manual transmissions and transaxles
that require 75W-85, 75W-90 or 80W-90 API GL-4 gear
lube. Recommended for use in NV 4500 transmissions
and replaces GM part # 12346190 and Chrysler part
# 4874459 (Chrysler specification MS-9070). MTG meets
GL-4 performance specifications required by some models
of Acura, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus,
Mazda, Mitsubishi-Fuso and Zetor. Ideal for muscle
car transmissions, including Muncie, Borg Warner,
Saginaw, Ford Toploader, Dearborn and New Process.
